Abu Saeeda: The government is “afraid” of Washington’s demand to withdraw its forces from Iraq

The head of the Wujoud Movement, Muhammad Abu Sa’ida, criticized the government’s failure to open the file of the American military withdrawal from Iraq with Washington, noting that the government fears America’s demand to withdraw its forces from Iraq for a number of reasons.

Abu Saeeda told Al-Maalouma, “The government is afraid of opening the file of withdrawing American forces from Iraq, and this fear stems from its fear that Washington will strike the currency file and raise the dollar exchange rate to more than 300 thousand dinars for every 100 dollars.”

He added, “The government does not want to go in the direction of demanding that America withdraw its forces from Iraq, because it fears that Washington will ignite Tahrir Square again, and return to the chaos that occurred in the past years.”

He explained that “the Kurds have a special position towards the Americans and reject any exit of American forces from the country, and Fuad Hussein did not deal with the file with the same Barzani spirit, but rather presented himself as an American in order to serve Washington’s interests.”
