Daily Mail: Hunter Biden undergoes psychological treatment due to bribery accusations

  In US NEWS

The British Daily Mail newspaper reported on Thursday that the son of the current US President, Hunter Biden, will undergo a seven-hour psychological evaluation to prove that he was “emotionally damaged” due to the claim of the former CEO of Overstock that he received bribes worth $800 million.

The report, translated by Al-Maalomah Agency, stated that “the comprehensive mental examination is part of the defamation lawsuit he filed against former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, as Hunter agreed to a series of psychological tests to help determine whether he was psychologically harmed by Byrne’s allegations of corruption against him.”

The report added that “Bayern posted to his 290,000 followers on social media site X a claim that Hunter had offered to pressure a sanctioned country to lift the freeze on his father’s $8 billion in assets in exchange for an $800 million bribe.”

The report explained that “Byrn is a Trump supporter who has pushed the conspiracy theory that Joe Biden stole the 2020 election, in addition to negative allegations about Covid-19 vaccines, while Hunter’s lawyers said that instead of withdrawing his bribery allegations when he was told they were false, Byrn “doubled down” and republished them again.”

“Hunter’s mental examination is scheduled for October 11, and will be conducted by Dr. Nathan Lavid in Long Beach, California, and the parties hereby agree that the defense may conduct one mental examination of the plaintiff,” the joint legal notice states.
